What Are Aromatherapy Wax Melts?
Aromatherapy wax melts are a simple way to enjoy the benefits of essential oils at home. Instead of burning oils directly, the scent is gently released as the wax warms, filling your space with pure botanical fragrance. They’re a cleaner alternative to candles and an easy way to set the mood in any room.
How to Use Wax Melts
For an extensive overview of how to use wax melts, have a look at our blog. Place a wax melt in the top of a melt burner, light an unscented tealight below, and allow the wax to gently warm and release its aroma. For electric burners, just switch it on and let the fragrance build slowly. Always follow safety guidelines and never leave a burner unattended.
Choosing the Right Aroma for You
Whether you’re looking to unwind after a long day, boost your energy, or clear your mind, we have a scent for every mood. Citrus blends can lift your spirits, lavender helps with relaxation, and eucalyptus is perfect for a refreshing, spa-like feel at home.
Wax Melts Frequently Asked Questions
How long does one wax melt last?
A single wax melt can typically release fragrance for around 6 to 12 hours, depending on the size of the melt and the type of burner you’re using. One of our wax melts will last a good 10-12 hours in a medium sized room, thats a huge 80-96 hours of aroma per box. Tealight burners tend to burn a little hotter and may use up the scent quicker, while electric warmers offer a slower, longer-lasting melt and essential oil release. You’ll notice the fragrance gently fading rather than stopping suddenly — that’s when it’s time to add another wax melt.
Can I reuse wax melts?
Yes, you can reuse a wax melt several times by leaving them to cool and reset in the burner dish. After each use, the fragrance will naturally weaken a little, but most melts can be warmed two or three times before they lose their scent completely. Once you notice the aroma has faded, simply remove the old wax and pop in a fresh melt to keep your space feeling bright and inviting. But make sure the wax is cool and set before attempting to remove it from the plate, and that the candle or heater is off and cooled.
Are your wax melts made with natural ingredients?
Absolutely, like all of our products we take great care in sourcing all ingredients sustainably and ethically. We only use natural plant-based waxes like soy or coconut wax, and pure essential oils for fragrance — never synthetic perfumes or paraffin blends. Our melts are hand-poured in small batches to make sure you’re getting a clean, honest product that’s safe to enjoy at home every day.
Can I mix different wax melts together?
Yes, you can mix different wax melts together! Blending two scents can create a personalised aroma that suits your mood. Just be sure to mix complementary notes — for example, pairing a fresh citrus melt with a soft lavender one can create a really uplifting but calming scent profile. Experiment a little to find combinations you love.
What's the best type of burner to use with wax melts?
Both tealight and electric burners work well, but they give slightly different experiences. Tealight burners tend to heat up quicker and release a stronger scent throw, while electric burners offer a more gentle, consistent fragrance over a longer period. It really comes down to personal preference and the atmosphere you want to create.
How do I remove old wax from my burner?
The easiest way is to warm the wax slightly so it softens, then gently slide it out with a tissue or paper towel. You can also fully melt the wax and soak it up carefully. Avoid using anything sharp that might scratch your burner — keeping it clean helps your melts perform at their best.
Are your wax melts suitable for vegans?
Yes, absolutely. We only use plant-based waxes and natural essential oils, with no animal-derived ingredients or testing at any stage of production.
Do your wax melts contain any synthetic fragrances or colours?
No. Every scent comes from pure essential oils, and we don’t add any artificial dyes or synthetic boosters. Our focus is on creating authentic, clean aromas that support your wellbeing naturally.
